Helicopter service: Blade has launched helicopter service in Goa

Helicopter transport firm BLADE on Friday announced the launch of its helicopter service in Goa, offering travel for local travelers as well as tourists. According to the company, helicopter services are meant for domestic travel and it will connect Goa Airport with North Goa, South Goa and Old Goa – a village with a bunch of traditional monuments.

State Chief Minister Promod Sawant inaugurated the service at the Aguada Helipad in North Goa.

Through this launch, the company aims to make Goa more accessible and navigable for travelers, it added.

BLADE has three landing points – North Goa (Surlaya), South Goa and Old Airport – according to the company, it is available to operate its services in the state.

The goal of Heli-Tourism Services is to make places more accessible through short-haul aviation, says Amit Dutt, Managing Director, BLADE India.

“Goa Airport and North-South Goa have always been disconnected due to road travel involvement and have become a point of similar pain for Goa travelers and locals alike. Improves, ”he said.

BLADE says it will offer fly-by-the-seat helicopter service from Goa Airport to North and South Goa where a customer can book a seat on a helicopter via the company’s official website or app.

Also, a customer can charter the entire helicopter for state as well as inter-state (Maharashtra) travel, it said.

Also, travelers can opt for a short experimental helicopter flight of 10-15 minutes to enjoy the aerial view of Goa, Blade Release said.

“Haley Tourism will allow us to explore the western regions of Goa like never before. The government will provide any kind of assistance for such initiatives to promote tourism in the state,” said Chief Minister Sawant.

Goa is a joint venture between Blade India’s third state, New York-based BLADE Urban Air Mobility Inc. and Delhi-based venture capital firm Hunch Ventures.

It entered the Indian market in March 2019 with the launch of its services in Maharashtra In December 2020, the company expanded its operations to Karnataka

Following the overwhelming response to Maharashtra and Karnataka, Blade India is rapidly expanding its footprint in the country and is gearing up to enter Goa, India’s most preferred leisure destination, the company said.
