Oxford University Press India (OUP) has partnered with BIC Cello for the fourth edition of Summer School, an online initiative that encourages children to read and learn using the summer holidays while having fun.
As part of the Summer School initiative, OUP will launch three competitions, including reading and drawing competitions; A writing competition; And a common sense competition. Writing competitions will encourage children to create their own finishes for popular children’s stories, while read and draw competitions will enable children to create their own imagination and creativity as they sketch their own version of the story or a character. The general knowledge competition will encourage children to be interested in the work of the world around them and to develop a global outlook.
Each of these competitions will encourage participants to think creatively and develop a passion for reading and writing through engaging activities. The competitions will be open to participants from all over India.
“At UUP, we strive to instill in children a love for reading and to develop a life skill that will hold them firmly through any career or life choices they make in later life. Reading and writing always complement each other. Thus, due to the shared coordination with BIC Cello, we believe that this partnership will help both brands achieve the larger mission of empowering our future generations with an unquenchable love for reading and writing, “said Sumant Dutt, MD, Oxford University Press India.
