Republican: Elon Musk will now vote for Republicans because Conservatives are coming back

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who has blocked a $ 44 billion Twitter deal, said Thursday that he would now vote for Republicans as conservatives return to the micro-blogging platform.

Musk, who has gained nearly 11 million followers since announcing his first Twitter takeover last month, said political attacks on him would increase dramatically in the coming months.

“In the past, I voted for the Democrats because they were (mostly) a party of kindness. But they have become a party of division and hatred, so I can no longer support them and vote for the Republicans,” Musk tweeted.

“Now look, their dirty tactics are being spread against me,” he added.

Musk has previously said that in order for Twitter to be credible to the public, it must be politically neutral, which means that the right and the left are equally upset.

The “free speech” mask, which called on Twitter to lift former US President Donald Trump’s ban, has been able to change Twitter’s dynamics just before the 2022 midterm elections in the United States.

An analysis of hundreds of Washington Post Twitter accounts shows that right-leaning accounts, including Republicans in Congress, have seen an increase in followers since the deal was announced last month, and even a decline in the number of followers of their Democratic opponents.

Conservatives have had a sudden surge in followers, while liberals have lost followers following reports that the tech billionaire bought Twitter for a $ 44 billion deal.
