The case relates to Prasad’s tenure as Railway Minister and in addition to the couple, their two daughters Misa Bharati and Hema have been named in the list of 17 accused, according to an FIR uploaded on the CBI website.
Rabri Devi’s interrogation lasted for more than 12 hours and police were heavily deployed to ensure that the CBI team could get out safely among the historic RJD leaders sitting on the sidewalk in protest of the “conspiratorial move”.
Later, a statement was issued from the party’s state headquarters in which spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan alleged that “without finding anything criminal, the CBI officials resorted to abusive language and used unparliamentary words (seat word) against Rabri Devi”.
“We reiterate that the recent CBI case and related operations across the country have been sponsored by the ruling BJP at the Center,” the BJP spokesperson alleged.
10, Outside Circular Road, Shakti Singh Yadav and Ijja Yadav, both former MLAs and now spokespersons have made these allegations.
Ajya Yadav, along with another spokesperson Sarika Paswan, chanted slogans against the “revenge” of the Narendra Modi government at the CBI and Center led by women activists of RJD.
During interrogation, they lamented the absence of Prasad in Delhi and the absence of his youngest son and political heir, Tejaswi, and claimed that if any of them had been present inside, “CBI spies would not have dared to cross the border.”
Coincidentally, Prasad’s eldest son, Tej Pratap Yadav, originally seen as a Maverick and Misfit, was inside the compound during the raid.
According to sources close to the family, he was placed outside the main quarters where Rabri Devi was being interrogated.
Tired of the long wait, Tej Pratap is reported to have spent time massaging his neck and back with one of his brokers.
